Day One

With temperatures in the 80's and lows in the 50's, one couldn't ask for better weather. We arrived at the hotel around 2 PM. After checking in, it didn't take long to find the hospitality room full of DeHaven sailors and their spouses.

Of course one of the first faces we see, as we enter the hospitality room, is Dan Wisner, the ever-efficient host for an event like this. As we surveyed the room more and more familiar faces were seen and some new faces as well. This year I was fortunate to have eight other sailors that served aboard the DeHaven when I did present. One I had seen last year, the others not for thirty years. All the members enjoyed an evening of camaraderie.
