History of ROKN Inchon DD-98


DeHaven DD-727 was transfered to the Republic of Korea on 5-December-1973 and was renamed ROKN Inchon DD-98

5-December-1973 ROKN received USS DeHaven DD-727 at Long Beach, CA and Christened ROKN Inchon DD-98
20-July-1974 NK agent boat repelling operations, North Korea. An armed agent boat sunk.
1975-1983 Participated North Korean Agent Boats Repelling Operations five times
7-August-1975 Guided missile test firing
7-November-1975 Guided missile test firing
1-January-1978 Changed hull number from DD-98 to DD-918
1975-1991 ROKN-USN combined exercises, Team Spirit Exercise
31-October-1992 Inchon unit dismantled
1-November-1992 Transfer to mothball and trainer ship
31-December-1994 Retired
31-December-1994 Dismantling of the ship began
