William Houston Weaver 1928-2016
William was born May 20, 1928, in Lana, Mississippi, the son of Lenard Sylvester Weaver and Carrie Lee Moore Weaver. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He served aboard the USS DeHaven DD-727 during Korea as a Torpedoman 3rd Class. He was a member of the USS DeHaven Sailors Association as well as the Association of Sub Vets. Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters - Paula Sanders of Sacramento, CA: Elaine Weaver of Kona, Hawaii; Debbie DuBois and her husband, Ron, of Deltona, FL; two sons - William H. Weaver II and his wife, Diane, of Baldhead, City, AZ; and Monte Weaver of Trenton, N.J.; a brother - Marcus Leon Weaver of Forest, MS: two sisters - Francis Williams of Shallowmar, FL; and Jewell Lorraine Murphy and her husband, Gus, of JACKSON, MS; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
