Coy H. Robertson, 73
Coy
H. "Two Gun" Robertson, 73, of Hendersonville died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004,
in Pardee Hospital.
He was born in Spindale, a son of the late Major Robertson and Cora
Dalton Robertson and lived in the Hendersonville area since 1966. He was a
graduate of Wake Forest University and retired from the N.C. Employment
Security Commission. He was a four-year Navy veteran, serving on the USS
DeHaven. He was an active member of BPOE 1616, Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 5206 and American Legion Post 77. He was an avid golfer. He was also
preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Robertson; and a sister, Melva
"Lefty" Huffstickler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Robertson; a son, Stephen
Robertson and his wife, Dawn, of Mars Hill; a daughter,
April Erickson of Palm Bay, Fla.; stepchildren, Carey Larned and her
husband, Scott, of Hendersonville and Dean Morrill and his wife, Donna, of
Hendersonville and Glen Morrill and his wife, Margaret, of Wildwood, Fla.;
a brother, Joe Robertson of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Brya, Autumn
and Madison; four step grandchildren, Laurie, Lindsey, Michael and Jason;
a special cousin, Pantha Jean Robertson; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Roman
Catholic Church. Father John Aurilia officiated. Burial followed at
Shepherd Memorial Park, where military graveside rites were
conducted by members Of Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post 77,
Hedrick-Rhodes VFW Post 5206 and ' Disabled American Veterans Chapter 14.
The family received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thos. Shepherd
& Son Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to Interfaith Assistance
