Wellman W. "Rusty" Biglin 1926-2023

Wellman W. “Rusty” Biglin of Pasco WA. passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 97. He was born on March 20, 1926 in Oak Creek, Colorado, where he lived a short period of time before the family had to move to chase work. He eventually ended up in Northern Idaho area where he spent most of his youth.

He worked in the Kaiser Shipyards starting in 1943, and three months later joined the Navy at the age of 17, serving on the ship “USS Alpine” in the Pacific during WWII and later aboard the USS DeHaven DD-727 where he was a GM3. He left the Navy in 1947 and worked various jobs until he reenlisted in the Army in 1950. He eventually retired as a Major in 1966 and started a new career at Hanford, finally retiring in the mid 80’s.

He was always active and enjoyed his personal time flying, working on cars, water skiing and snowmobiling. His one true passion was woodworking. He would work all year making magical wooden toys and games and give them away each Christmas.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Earl and ViLettie Biglin, Wife Rosalyn Biglin, Brother Charles Biglin, Sons John Biglin & Michael Biglin and Daughter Barbara “Rockie” Pruett (Biglin).

He is survived by Son Shaun and wife Kerry Biglin, Grandchildren Brittany and husband Joe Scales, Aaron and wife Kerri Biglin, Scott and wife Amy Biglin, Megan and husband Tony Fox, Dean Pruett, Tami Pruett, Marti Pruett, Siobhan Pruett, Chris Biglin, Matt Biglin, and several great grandchildren.
