Larry Morgan Andrews 1943-2011
Larry graduated from Oklahoma State University and after college served as a seaman in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. DeHaven DD-727. Larry was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America and The African Violet Society, where he won awards for his violets. He was a passionate gardener and enjoyed his yard and plants. He was a member of the AKC for his adoration for boxer dogs. He had lived in the Balch Springs area for over 30 years. Larry was a member of Hickory Tree Baptist Church in Balch Springs, Texas. Larry is survived by sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Bob Trotter of Colorado; stepson, Ronald Braley and wife Tammy L. Braley of Balch Springs; stepdaughter, Tammy W. Hamilton and husband Terry A. Hamilton II of Oregon. Larry had seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Princess and Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Ina Andrews; and infant brothers James and Stephen.
